USPS...anyway to head off a package?

Postby BubbaGumpShrimp » Wed Jul 18, 2012 10:34 pm

I just ordered something off ebay and paid via paypal. I didn't realize until they sent me the shipping invoice, but the invoice in paypal has my old address. I sent already left a voicemail, email, and a message on ebay to see if they can change it. It's showing as "shipped" though (just ordered this afternoon).

So...if they send it out to the old address (where NJ is), will USPS divert it to my current address (in their system) or only deliver to the address on the label?

Did you put in a change of address with the USPS when you moved out?

Yes. All mail so far has been diverted to my new address via the change of address I submitted. I wasn't sure if they pulled from the same system for packages though (sent from a business). If so...great. If not...well...it's not like I could be anymore < edited > than I already am.

Packages have forwarded for me via USPS when I moved to TX in the past.

If you bought it off eBay, might want to recondition it. Stick a ham in there and just pull the bone out..viola!
