Alimony if unemployed?

Postby Joiseyguy » Fri Jul 13, 2012 3:00 pm

If i get divorced while unemployed will I need to pay alimony? Wife has some assets in her name like stocke and mutual funds, but i have more. She worked as a professional before having kids 15 years ago in same profession as me. She has a bachelors degree. Since we both ave ability to work but neiger has a job would i be required to pay alimony?

It depends on how long you have been unemployed and job availability....and about a dozen other factors.
