Is it wrong/bad to claim adultry just to finalize?

We're in the state of Louisiana which requires 365 days of separation before the divorce is final since we have minor children.
I've been told that if I claim adultry, I can have the divorce finalized immediately. That would help me greatly in dealing with mortages, bills, etc..
My question is, will this count against me in any way if I admit to it?

Its the reason no fault divorces came into being in the first place.

It shouldn't count against you but shouldn't and won't are spelled completely differently.

Although the adultry should have no legal consequences......you will most definitely suffer from our local Napoleonic, Catholic mindset in some capacity. The degree of that suffering will totally depend on the Judge....
IMHO....it may not do you in, but it sure as ENFER ain't gonna help.

Understanding the desire and monetary motivation to wrap things up. I would consider your options in depth before moving forward, exposing your neck for the sake of expediency.

Update since then...

Got a call from a friend claiming she had proof that her husband and my wife have been having an affair since Feb.. Shocker

Now I'm trying to figure out the proper steps to take to get her to claim adultry so we can wrap this thing up.

Are you saying your state requires the person guilty of adultery to announce her infidelity publicly in order to get the divorce proceedings in motion?

Check that out in your state statutes...I am guessing if this "proof" is clear, then you would be the one filing with a claim for her adultery.

Yes she and the other party have to admit to it in court and we have to have some kind of evidence other than their admission..

You have to have some type of proof that you were actually separated....

You can't, so you sign an affidavit saying so.

Most people can't afford to pay for two households so it's common to be separated in the same house. You sign saying you haven't slept together since whenever and then incorporate that into the MSA.
