From what I've read...property acquired during the separation is not considered marital property and does not come into play when property is divided up for the divorce(Virginia). Am I interpreting VA's position on this correctly?
In VA it appears that if you acquire it after separation from your wages earned after separation then it your property. If marital assets were used for purchase it could be martial. Free trader clauses or agreements are done in my state, to more clearly define this.
