Mexican Marriage & US Design Patent Equals Disaster

I am an inventor/ entrepreneur that was "married" 11 years ago in Mexico. I hold the only copy of the ceremony... I also hold a US Design Patent,...Her name is not on the patent.
I have essentially been left to pay All The Bills even though she is on the mortgage.
She has also been ripping me off via Paypal.. they recommend I File Charges...

I meet with a divorce atty Monday and I need to prepare by getting clarification in terms of whether or not the Mexican Ceremony is valid or not here in Florida, as well as trying to figure out how to Survive ...

I am Dead Broke except for credit cards but I don't know how to juggle them to float myself until I begin selling nmy Product ...

You were married in a foriegn country but lived in the states as man and wife and portrayed yourselves in the community as man and wife? I'd say you are married.

Change all your accounts so she can no longer rip you off. Since you are married to her it is highly unlikely any criminal charges will ever be filed. Being married to someone is a lisence to steal from them.

She still owes it but the truth is no one takes that stuff too seriously. The quicker you can untangle your finances from her the better.

If the guy was that Alpha he wouldn't be here complaining about her ripping him off on Paypal. He'd have already handled his business and she would be all too happy to steer clear of him for the rest of her life.

So it's likely just an obsure remark referring to her sickly nature and him no longer providing health insurance for her sorry rear.

Where does the patent come into play here? Were you ordered to pay half of what someone decided was the monetary value of the patent?
