Nobody is hacked off. It's just that most states have laws capping CS/SS awards to a certain percentage, barring a pad for any arrearage, especially in this economy. So a guy having to pay an uber-extraordinary amount, to the point where offing himself, or fleeing to a foreign country, are entertained as rational solutions over remaining a parent in the kids' lives, does indeed smack of trollification; any reasonable person would think so. Especially when it's second-hand information about a seemingly low-income earner. So lose the righteous indignation, we've been around a long time and have seen hyperbolic "situations" come and go. Forgive us our healthy skepticism and we'll wait patiently for the actual guy to put down his sandpaper and post for himself.

If it was me, I would lay a track record of spending lots of time with the kids, cut back hours on the job that most impacts that parenting time (i.e., the one which offers work hours when the kids are not in school) and file for a reduction in alimony so that you can have time to exercise your parenting time. We'll ask the guy what are his specifics in terms of ordered parenting time...and suggest that a job that interferes with that parenting time is less important than the exercise of that time. Get him on here.

Let me guess, Bart. You have to pay child support on 1 kid based upon the salary of 1 job. Let me call the WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMBULANCE

Unbeknownst you, outside of your Disney Land reality, people actually have real problems
