1) I am extremely unlikely to use FB, Twitter, etc. etc. for anything site related.
2) Don't use social media. Telephone, email, text, thats it. Social media is the devil.
3) Personally, I like the forums. If you guys were going to invest time in the forums, I think expanding on "The List" to make other sections, like how to handle a false DV, why you need an attorney, why temporary orders are so important, how to succesfully sue for contempt, how to modify, whatever.
Maybe add a forum on cases in the media and current efforts to change legislation would be nice.
Then, when guys come on and say, "I've been accused of DV, but didn't do it", we can point them to a really good reference about how to defend themselves about it, just like we do with the List.
In my opinion, the content and the help recieved is what draws people to these forums. Work on having content that is second to none and you'll get more people involved. If you build it, they will come.
My website consultant told me that FB generally produces limited results for lots of time invested, but your market may be different than mine.
