not sure what to make of this one

Ok guys, help me with this one….excerpt sanitized/anonomized/genericized for simplicity from an email exchange.

STBX speaking…

I can agree to the attached except for claiming children on taxes. Reason: Each month, you get to withhold $500 per family code, which reduces your monthly income by that amount. That is your tax break. It reduces your monthly total from $1500 to $1000 (That significantly reduces my child support).

Say what? Since I have a legal obligation to pay taxes, THAT is the generous tax break??
I don’t even know what to say…..or am I the bat-sh!t crazy one?

"Your reduction in income is your tax break".

If she voted I bet I could guess who for.

Female/NJ logic, lol.

You should have been a fly on the wall for my discussion with the NJ about my house and the "equity." Only my name is on the house (pre-marital asset). She wants me to "re-finance" the house and "buy her out of her half" so that she can have the "equity." Keep in mind....this is a house that is ~$20k upside down.

Many NJ's are missing the common sense gene.

I read a case a few years ago where a NJ posted how she deserved 1/2 the value of their home and the equipment used in their business. She said their house was worth $300K and their dump trucks and other stuff $700. She felt she was entitled to $500K, or half the value.

At first, she forgot to mention they owed $440K on the house and $900K on the dump trucks. Even though several posters clearly pointed out she was had $340K in negative equity...she still didn't get it.

She told all to go to H and she was hiring a high powered attorney to get her 1/2M.
