stbx/nj OC insists 100,000 note pre-pmt be escrowed until ED

Jurisdiction: VA
Stbx abandoned home and took S8 with her.
Temp support order in place
Temp custody order in place

Anyone have experience with court hearings to have escrowed funds released before Equitable Distribution?

Stbx and I own 50/50 of a mortgage note that had a pre-payment of $100,000. Stbx/nj and her attorney want it escrowed until Equitable Distribution. The mortgage note has no debt backing it.

I didn't agree with having the funds escrowed on OC terms (defer decision until ED), but the alternative was to not accept the pre-payment of $100,000.

What's a reason to motion the court to release a portion of the escrowed funds? Court ordered payments (mortgage, spousal support, and child support), Attorneys fees, Child related expenses, or my first ever and long overdue trip to Vegas for strippers and gambling.
My nj/stbx cost me around USD 8,000 per fornication session.

My nj/stbx had this in mind (and still does) for me: the manipulated man by Esther Vilar

If I understand your post correctly, it's supposed to be escrowed until the two of you agree on property settlement, or failing that an Equitable Distribution hearing where the judge tells you what you agreed to.

You signed off on those terms, right?

Is so, you wait until the two of you agree on property settlement, or failing that an Equitable Distribution hearing where the judge tells you what you agreed to.
