FoF, Do you have a suggestion??

My thought also is I go in and request 50/50. Explain how flexible my schedule is for the children b/c I a self employed. I get to spend twice as much parenting time with the chilren during the school week, I have flexibility for kids sick days, early release, school functions, etc... I have been the past 4 yrs getting home from work at 2 pm to spend time with children. I can still do that and this is what the children are accustomed to as well.

I am also willing to work the mother to help accommodate her schedule if needed to help with the children

I am sorry about prior post not so clear. I have had a bad cold this week, lack of sleep, stressed out about all these filings for time sharing, temp alimony, and then not getting to see the kids since last saturday. I will get to be with them by myself starting tomorrow thru august 9th

My suggestion is that if you get one bite of the apple , bite big. If you believe its in your kids best interest for you to be primary caregiver then make that case now.

I think there are plenty of good reasons for 50/50 but I don't believe not asking for more when you are the one clearly in the best position to care for the children for the reasons stated is either logical or smart. IIRC, Fl doesn't designate "Primary" so there is no sense in getting hung up on definitions. Come up with a schedule/agreement that makes sense and that you can sell as in the kids best interest and fair to both parents and go for it.

50/50 with a short ROFR puts the kids in your care every day anyway since your afternoons are free.

That's my suggestion.

I agree what what your attorney's has advised! Keep things straight down the middle... any deviation from that is not 50/50 anymore. example you will never have legal custody of your child specifically at lets say 1PM any day or week,.... think about that! ;-) One week on and one week off... cannot be any closer to 50/50.
