Semi-Good News

So my EX and i have been fighting over custody and during our temporary hearing she lawyered up and accused me of all sorts of nonsense. Judge saw right through it and granted me temporary orders.

Our actual court hearing is coming up in about 25 days and she's been trying the entire time to settle out of court without a judges decree.

She's pretty much mettled in the temporary orders the entire time, has not attended the mandatory parenting workshops, submitted a parenting plan, and today i learned she dropped her lawyer and decided to represent herself.

Im guessing thats because either she could not afford the lawyer or the lawyer wise'd up and told her id probably be getting what i want which is joint custody and 7/7 < parenting time >.

Hoping for the best :)

More than likely your ex feels she doesn't need an attorney at this point because she was very successful with the temporary custody results. You were given zero overnights and continue to have none correct? Your chances of going from no overnights to 50/50 in the final decree is pretty much zero unless your ex agrees to it. Do you have an attorney representing you for the final hearing?

If she is looking to settle I would definitely pursue that route since I'm betting you'll get a better result than you will from court.
