Thanks FoF. Feels pretty good to read those words from you in my own thread for a change! As for the CS..I've been paying that all this time, so how much is another month gonna break me.. Guess I should look at this glass half full.
Oh, man, I am incredibly happy about the kids being protected for awhile longer, but that sucks to be losing half your income for no good reason. Is it possible to have a five minute convo with your lawyer, to see whether it would be feasible and advisable to file an ex-parte motion for temporary relief of support obligations, given the present circumstances?
In the land of the blind, Cyclops is King. Apologies to Erasmus!
Not sure Minuette. The judge clearly stated he "wants 30 days of peace in this case...With no one filing ANY motions." So I dunno. Guess I gotta just grind it out?
Funny because I believe that immediately after the hearing, NJ rushed to the judiciary floor to file a motion for a change of judge.
Okay, with those words coming out of the judge's mouth, you are going to have to suffer another month. That sucks. But your NJ going to file that motion right after...that is some funny sh*t right there.

It'd be funny if the mods combed through all threads and made a Top 10 True NJ List. It'd be tough to highlight and summarize said NJs attributes, milestones, er..failures all in one thread...But if possible I suppose it would make for some comic relief perhaps.
I love Trevor's words on picking them up from daycare...I look forward to doing that as soon as mine is done...if you are doing things in thee best interest...no one will say a thing..as for the parenting expert...surprisingly how much that can help..aat least my experience so far. Is the judge goin to say, you're a bad father because you picked up your kid so you could spend time before taking them to the Nutjob's? If so, that judge is a POS!
the evaluation will take weeks/months. Started mine in May and won't be complete until mid-late August..and it costs a pretty penny as well.
Glad you got things moving in your favor..keep them that way..and plan ahead.
Lawyer just called me. Says NJ filed a lawsuit in Federal court, against me, my parents, my lawyer, and the GAL. He put the squeeze on me for cash because he claims he has to hire another lawyer to fight this, as frivolous as it is.
I dont know how ppl have the audacity to put the squeeze on me when I have custody of my boys while 50% of my take home goes to NJ.
Status hearing on my OP is coming in 2 weeks, where I was hoping to get support back to me. But now this now is just beyond ridiculous.
Everyone I explain this to tells me that I shouldnt worry. I have the kids and the house and the last two months status quo. Ive been superdad with S1 and S8.
The ground is shrinking beneath NJs feet by the day. She has fallen completely apart, and has resorted to naming me in a lawsuit in federal court. Sad. Wonder how the judge(s) are going to look at her. Ehh I hate thinking hypotheticals..
Rather than say "don't worry" (you are, after all, a man) I would say "remain vigilant." Keep documenting and eventually the judge will see her for who she is by your documentation of your own parenting and of her stupidity. Keep your foot upon the stair and your shoulder to the wheel.
