I kinda liked the clumsy but heartfelt Dad role played by Steve Carell in Dan in Real Life.

Harry Stanton with his daughter Gracie in Armegeddon. No way not to cry during the broken promise scene. One of the best scenes of a Daddy & daughter, gets me every time.

If horror/suspense movies are your thing, The Possession is really good. A DAD that will do ANYTHING for his little girl and a mother unknowingly portrayed as a NJ willing to blame others at the drop of a hat. Good story though. I liked it and I don't usually like horror movies. The dad role made me love this film.

Marvin Marinovich in The Marinovich Project. It's a hell of a father son tale.

Now streaming at various places on the web.

Not a movie...but TV show...'Lie to Me.' They touch on the differences in parenting styles between the father and mother.

Over the Top - Stallone Some ups and downs but over all a good one, I think.
