How long were you married? I read one article recently that said that the new "seven year itch" is the 2-3 year mark. In a nutshell...people are realizing earlier than in decades past that they want out of their marriage (whether or not valid reasons were cited wasn't really emphasized).
I think that what women are doing (all age groups) is adjusting to our current society expectations...which are few and far between.

You jest, but seriously...my NJ was ******* useless around the house. I didn't have time to maintain my house because I was too busy refereeing her and her kids. Don't even get me started on how rarely she cooked or did any other wife duties.
I would chalk it up to her being her, but we both know that's not the case. That's the new modern female phenomenon (I don't mean every female that lives today...only those that aspire to be how society tells them to be these days). When I was in college...a ~65 year old female professor chewed a girl in class out about being a useless bimbo. "You can't even make a grilled cheese sandwich? You need to bring something to the table in a relationship. If you don't...you're going to get dumped in short order." This girl seemed to think it was funny that she just intended to get married and sit around on the couch doing nothing.
