Divorce Wars - dealing with your ex

so I am watching Divorce Wars on CNBC tonight, I know I know, nothing better to do right? well I am going to see Roger Waters tomorrow night perform The Wall so I figure one night in isnt so bad.

well.. tonight in casual conversation at a drop off my nj ex asked if we could changed my D5's name to her maiden name. Of course I thought it was redic, but I kind of lost it over text after I left and I texted her some nasty messages afterward. Up until now, we have been doing really well getting my D5 ready for kindergarten, and communicating well. Now this, stupid comment, sends me into a < edited > vortex where I text her some bad things.

Now.. in dealing with your ex, how many of you turn the other cheek and dont respond at all to this idiotic statements? Most of the time I do, tonight I didnt, I was pretty offended. The show, Divorce Wars, was talking about false allegations, and I worry that if we argue and say bad things, she would do something this crazy as she has in the past.

BTW - the show actually went through a false allegation where they proved the wife actually planted the evidence and convicted her of fraud in court and fully exonerated and gave fully custody to the dad.. good tv actually tonight.
