high school sweetheart.... looking back she was obviously crazy and i did have one friend tell me not to do it. i had the knight in shining armor syndrome and she needed saving. turns out you can't save someone who enjoys needing saved. she's a drama/pity < edited >. she loves it, and when no drama exists in her life she creates some. even if it meant leaving her two kids and husband.

I got nabbed by the hottest thing I ever knew....too bad I didn't know what was BPD was.

My best man knew....5 minutes before the wedding, he called me to the back door of the church and a cab waiting for the 2 of us to split.

I was young and stupid. I ignored all the red flags and had no concept of what a divorce with kids would really entail. Never fully thought out the what if scenarios until I was knee deep in the marriage. I felt I was in "Love" and she was the one and I wanted to do things the right way and marry. Had no idea I was being used.

On a side note I feel that before getting married, all men should be required to spend at least 40 hrs reading posts on this site, either that or ban marriage before the age of 30.

I could have written that.

Once when we were in marriage counseling, the therapist mentioned that I was trying to save her and it was because I was looking for someone who I could save. At the time, I thought it was a compliment. stupid stupid stupid

She was pretty and I settled. I was established in my education and career, had some money, figured what the heck, it was time to settle down and do the wife, house, raising kids thing. It was all a house of cards I built and really wanted it to work while many outside saw it from the get go, I didnt listen and kept trying and trying to maintain this image of a normal family. I loved her, or thought it was love, she is incapable of loving anything including her own self. A complete empty shell who cannot sustain herself without an enabler.

She was the best looking woman I ever dated and was unbelievable in the sack. Yeah, looking back, signs of NJ-ness were abundant but I was too blinded by pu$$y.

I have a theory that there's a correlation between freaks in bed and crazy.

Mine developed BPD, but only later. It started with postpartum depression and instead of getting better as our only child grew, it got worse and more psych diagnoses were added along the way. (panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, many other phobias finally culminating in full blown BPD).
