As a teacher I often tell my seventh graders that Barney lied to them. My principal didn't like that too much, and so far I don't think the kids completely believe me. Starting to sink in a little perhaps. You are not special "just because," you actually have to do something to make yourself so. Definitely not a popular message. We've gone too far in the wrong direction. Kudos to this teacher for making such a public statement of something that may not be popular, but is right.
