Dads featured in children's books

Postby Trevor » Mon Jun 04, 2012 10:18 pm

I saw an article today that lists several children's books where Dads are featured "as co-parents and primary caregivers."

My kids are adults but I wanted to pass this along for those of you with young kids...check out these books and celebrate Fathers' Day with a bit of reading together!

Do you think it's wrong that I steer my daughter toward books like these, because she loves to read, to show her that there are more children than just her, that are being raised by dad?

No. Not wrong. Its right.

When you read something in a book, the subject matter is given authority because its in published form. This will benefit your kid by allowing them to see the world in a way you would like them to.

To add to your thought-I received a magazine in the mail.

The title is normally Mother's Focus or something like that. It's about activites and articles and stuff about raising kids.
Just received this month's, mother was crossed out and it said Dad's.

Thought of you guys :)
