I am actually looking forward to not being in a relationship, and absolutely no plans for a future Mrs. Here_We_Go. I could do a year after final sanding on my hands, well maybe just one hand, j/k. My point to the OP is he does not need to be in a relationship, and absolutely doesn't need to be looking for a new nj that needs to latch onto him, married or not, abused or not. The two most important relationships for OP, and myself, should be the ones we have with God and our kiddos.

So..my first thought is.

Why do you believe this nanny?
You knew the husband, the abusive drunk thing never surfaced. What is her definition of drunk abuser? I think even my awesome husband has said some swear words at me drunk-...but I would never consider that drunk abuser..pershaps she would..see where I'm going?

Think of all the crap your STBX is telling all her men...see the comparison?

I get the babysitter fantasy. But she could be a snake in the grass..
maybe even on your STBX's side? helping her plot your demise.

Just saying!!
