Last day of school and tears for dad...

Postby bionic » Fri Jun 01, 2012 9:52 am

I dropped the kids off for the bus this morning and the last day of school and last day of our week together. Over the last school year 3 trips to the bus stop a day, takes 2 hours time. Pouring rain this morning. I drove away all teary eyed.

As hard as the daily bus stop routine is some day long into the future when they are all grown i will wish I could go back and take them to the bus stop, and watch my kid get on the bus, just one more time. They just grow up so fast. So fast.

Totally understand. The grief catches me unexpectedly all the time. It sneaks up on you and
kicks you in the < hindquarters >. Sorry you're feeling down.

Not feeling down - just cherishing the moments we have with our kids when they are young. : )

Keep on cherishing there Bionic, cause they are too. Whether it's apparent or not right now....these are the anchor memories that they will relay on for years to come and reflect on for many more.....
