What, that he was moving in GF after 8 years over his kid's objection?

That is more than enough time, and I think his response: It is what she is feeling and I respect her decision: is the correct one.

I'm not pleased with any articles that compare dads as moms because they wash the kids clothes or take them to the doc.

I guess its inevitable that when the story is written about the failure of the modern mom they will be referred to as "the new dad".

No, it was more this line: "His daughter, he says, is not happy about it and has elected to stay with her mother for the time being." I didn't like the fact that it put the decision firmly in the daughters hands for one , or that the daughter would feel that way after so much time.
