Brian Banks conviction overturned

A guy spent 5 years in prison for rape, the girl recanted, and the guy is now free. But in all the interviews I have heard, the only thing I have heard about the woman who lied and deprived this young man of his freedom and civil rights for ten years was Brian Banks saying he harbors no ill will or resentment against her.

Where are the consequences for this woman for this civl rights violation? How can there not be a criminal conviction in this case?

If I were in his situation, I'd be saying the same thing. Innocent or guilty, the rights of convicted felons aren't high on anyone's list. If he makes public statements about him getting screwed, he may not be getting freed today. I'm guessing he understands this.

The money won in the civil suit doesn't have to be repaid either.
