NJ had absolutely $h1t credit when she got taken on at a hospital (sub-550). Surgical tech (not RN), but still responsible for "patient care."

They don't do a credit or drug check. My first job at age 15 at a hardware store had a more in-depth personnel check.

Criminal background check on both state/federal level yes. Credit check, no.
