Question concerning parenting journal.

Postby MyBeautifulDaughter » Mon Jun 18, 2012 2:23 pm

My daughter just turned one and until the divorce I have a 50/50 agreement with my stbx/nj/town hoe. When I have D1, the daily routine is the same. I'm a military vet that LOVES to stick to a routine. Even if every day is the same should I still be creating a journal? I think it would be pretty boring and redundant but if I need to I can. What do you guys think?
My daughter is my source of strength. I will never give up on her like her mother has our family.

Better to have than to have not. Keep up the journal.

And don't forget to train the child to be flexible; so little in life these days is airtight-regimented. Life is messy around the edges, households are not naturally silent (even if junior is asleep), and meals and bedtime shouldn't be micromanaged. Live life and keep to a schedule, sure. I think people set themselves up for failure by being too uptight about the precise time the plate is set at the table.

If you like routine..then journaling should be easy. Be redundant: can't tell you how many times I said: library, Barnes and Noble, Train Station, Park, Nature Center, Walk, Mall, playground, etc. I take pictures to back it all up.

I like routine as well. And at least you got 50/50 to start. But remember, some flexibility/change is ok too. They need to adjust, otherwise, the real world may not be so nice.
