I have an uncle who was a stay at home dad. He got a "goodbye" check for $500,000.00 and didn't pay any child support even though his wife got custody of the 5 kids. :shock:

Although his ex got full custody, he ended up raising them anyway because she realized she didn't want to do it. A few years later she gave him a check for $180,000 because he was doing so much to help.

There is no point to this story, except that divorcing a monied wife has advantages over divorcing a SAHM.
