I get what the OP is doing...I am falling into the same. I'm about to check for my nuts and start using them. Just hoping these In-house rules come through soon, or else I will start doing what I want.
Just don't need the headache with her and her mom. But I know how he feels. Your advice is great men, but sometimes, we have to be ready to say when.

I get it too. Ilovemyboys is paralyzed with fear. Moms been running the show so long that he doesn't know how to get what he wants from her and likely never has. The truth is he hasn't been that involved with the kids in the past because even if he wanted to mom wouldn't let him but now that he's getting divorced he wants 50/50. He believes that's what's fair.
Fair isn't how the system works.
Our point is if he doesn't wake up NOW and do something NOW its going to be too late.

Sounds like your attorney is just trying to "get it done". Maybe has a high case load? You need to define your goals and make sure your attorney is in line with them. If your goals are realistic and he isn't willing to fight with you drop him.....
As a dad who has 2 boys I'd probably fax over a zerox of my middle finger to that offer.... But then again my renegade tactics sometimes get me in trouble (although I just completed my divorce this week and got everything I wanted, including 52% overnights with refusing to give up... And used some serious renegade tactics)
Thanks to this board:
53% over nights
Kept all the assets

It sounds like a bad attorney. A good attorney will tell you "grow some balls" and go and pick up your kids and take them home. By the way, doesn't your nut job realize if you aren't a CPA anymore her gravy train will also end?
