final decree is scheduled to be signed tomorow

Court is scheduled to sign the decree tomorrow. Nothing significant happened since the mediation, really, but it should be all legally over tomorrow.

Started dating a nice gal, getting promoted at work, summer vacation coming up. All positive changes after NJ was shed. Just wanted to share the happiness with you all and encourage those in the middle of it. Hang in there, it will be over and you will be happy again.

Congrats. Yes, things do get much better. It's hard to see that when you're in the middle of it.
I've been dating the same girl for almost 2 years now, my boys live down the street, great career, and life is good.

In my case we settled (signed) out of court and I expected it would be like 30 days for the judge to review and stamp the decree. Just 2 days later got an email from lawyer.

I told my buddy at work "geez, I've been divorced for 10 minutes according to this email". He was quite enthused, I'm guessing he had been there done that. A year later my ex got married and I told him "geez, I'm done paying alimony". We spent the next hour talking about what stocks I should buy. Beats paying alimony.
