so, my s2bx is quite savvy, technically. i recently logged into her FB account, (carefully, from her computer, from her browser, but in a chrome incognito window) only to get the message
"Name New Device"
Please give this device a name. Because you have Login Notifications enabled, you will receive a notification that you logged in from this machine.
sh*t! but i kept my head, and I DID NOT hit [Save Device] or [Don't Save]. I closed the window.
I was concerned that she would know someone had tried to access her FB. So, on MY computer, i followed the instructions here
https://blog.facebook.com/blog.php?post=389991097130 (they are slightly wrong) and set up SMS notification (to me) and email notification (to me) and tried the same thing on
my fb account.
I was able to confirm that if you CLOSE the window to get the f--k out, no notification is sent. (at least right now...until facebook reads this post and changes it). I also confirmed that if you hit [Save Device] or [Don't Save] it
does send an SMS with the following message:
A new unknown device logged into your facebook account[/quote] If this wasn't authorized, check your email for instructions.I logged into her email, to confirm that she didn't get email notification either. All clear. But Im pretty freaked out.
so, lessons learned
-as the list says, don't overestimate or underestimate your s2bx
-even if you have passwords, the watched might be watching
-be smart.
-if i had time/resources i would add a keylogger/ root her iphone.
