Saving Iphone texts

Postby AlmostSingle » Thu Jul 21, 2011 9:06 am

Is there a good way to save text conversations from my iphone to my laptop. I've got some pretty juicy exchanges and I'm always afraid that I will accidently delete them.

I usually copy them text by text and insert them in an e-mail to send to my lawyer or myself if I want to share them, but not deleting them is the best to show you haven't modified them and it shows the date time stamp with it.

I tried sending them all in an email, but it just turned out to be a big block of messy text. I'll just make sure that I don't delete them.

Mine doesn't mess up, I open an e-mail, then move to the texts, hold the screen over the text to copy, move back to the e-mail and paste it, repeat the process, never has messed up on mine that way, not sure why yours does.

I used a program called Tansee iPhone Transfer (the full feature version costs $19.95).
The cost was well worth it to me, as I had way too many texts to copy and paste:

You can do a screenshot (hit sleep button and home button together).
This will save a pic of whatever is showing on the screen.
Then you can transfer/email the pic wherever you want it.

^ Agreed! I just bought this 5 minutes ago, and was able to print every text message between STBX and myself. For only $9.99 it was worth every penny!

Thanks!

I use PhoneView on my Mac to copy texts and voicemails from iPhone to computer for archival purposes

I dont have an Iphone, just a regular flip phone.

I have been borrowing someones phone, taking a picture of the text messages and sending them to my email and printing them out. I deleted the contact name so it would show the number it was from insted of the name.

On longer text messages I have to take two pics so I can get the date and time, but works well.
